IRIS Run for Refugees

This will be my 9th year doing this race and I am psyched to be doing it again with my son Patrick and his boyfriend Bobby.  Patrick has worked with refugees since 2012, and through him I know how hard transitioning to the US can be for refugee families.  So doing this run and assisting IRIS in its work is one of the ways I feel I can help newly arrived refugees here in Connecticut become American success stories.  I really appreciate all the financial support provided by my family, friends, co-workers and former students in past runs!  Hope you can help IRIS again this year!
