On January 22, 2018 Jackie Harbison lost her battle with Sclerosing Epithelioid Fibrosarcoma (SEF). She was 31 years old. Jackie was a beautiful young woman who held high moral standards and had strong opinions. She loved to debate over science, social topics and philosophy. She was a sports enthusiast and spent much of her time running and swimming. She was a deeply compassionate soul and wanted to help others less fortunate. Her spirit filled a room with exuberant energy, and she could make everyone laugh with her impressions and jokes.
This is the 8th year that Team Jackie will be participating in the Pittsburgh Cure Sarcoma walk/run. Jackie is my sister. We walk or run every year to remember her, her vibrant energy and love of the outdoors. We also want to bring awareness and funding for sarcoma research so that other have a better chance of survival and a better quality of life.
Jackie would have loved this event. Please consider supporting us and sharing our cause with your family and friends. We appreciate your support, love and kindness.
