On May 2, 2020, I am participating in the 40th annual Hunger Walk & 5K benefiting Emergency Food Network (EFN).
EFN is the central nonprofit food distributor serving Pierce County. In 2019, EFN distributed more than 13 million pounds of food to its 82 partner food pantries, meal sites, and shelters. That’s a lot of food! Unfortunately, the need is only growing. 1 in 7 people in Pierce County is food insecure, meaning they do not have consistent access to affordable and nutritious food.
By supporting EFN, we can make sure that everyone in Pierce County has access to food. Not only am I participating in the Hunger Walk & 5K, I am also raising funds to support EFN. Because EFN can distribute 5 meals for just $1, every donation will have a significant impact in the community.
Thank you in advance for supporting me in my efforts to make sure no person goes hungry.
