In an exciting and friendly competition, Team Oak is ready to challenge their rivals, Team Maple, to see which group can log the most miles over a 12-hour period.
As one of the most prominent and enduring species in the McKaig forest, the oak tree symbolizes strength and longevity, values that drive our team of dedicated runners. Every hour, members of our team will hit the trails racking up the miles, with each step bringing us closer to victory.
We are inviting sponsors to pledge a certain amount for every mile Team Oak runs, with all proceeds going directly to McKaig Nature Education Center. Your support not only fuels our runners but also helps us preserve the very forests that inspire us. We expect Team Oak to run 150 miles (or more)
