Help me in supporting Glen Canyon Outdoor Academy for the 2027 Antelope Canyon Ultras!
In memory and in honor of my late partner, Ian O'Brien, I signed up to run a 55k (34 miles)!!! Ian was training for the Antelope Ultra 100 mile race when he passed in 2023. For the past 3 years, friends have traveled across the country to run in honor of Ian. This year it's my turn!
The longest race I've ever completed is a half marathon, so this will be a big challenge! Ian always inspired me to push my physical limits and enjoy spending entire days outside, so I'm excited to train and race!
I've agreed to raise money to support Glen Canyon Outdoor Academy (GCOA) and their outdoor programs like Wild Friday, a day of outdoor education, and the San Juan River Trip- a GCOA tradition for middle schoolers.
GCOA is a free K-8 public charter school serving the communities of Page, AZ and surrounding Navajo Nation reservation communities. GCOA's mission is to spend 40% of every school day outside! It is located in Page, Arizona where we get to access Glen Canyon National Recreation Area, Bryce Canyon, the Grand Canyon, and the Vermillion Cliffs.
