Wow! Just a few weeks away from the Maggie Fischer! I wanted to thank Meghan Lemery-Olson for her support again this year, besides her generous donation, Meg has also provided the kayaks for myself and Alane Theofield. Lanie and I have taken turns kayaking for each other for the past few years and it's my turn to swim again! Thank you to Lanie for kayaking once again! Looking forward to see everyone this year. Hi Everyone, I'm delighted to be participating again on July 9, 2024 in the Maggie Fischer Memorial Cross Bay Swim Fundraiser! The Swim is across the Great South Bay from Fire Island to Brightwaters, New York. This 5.5 mile swim raises money for Hospice Care Network Children's Bereavement Fund, a service that helps children as young as 4 years old and their families through bereavement. These bereavement services are provided for those who have been in the hospice program, as well as community members who have experienced the death of a loved one even if they are uninsured. They rely solely on donations, so any little bit helps. Thank you in advance and thank you to everyone that has supported these fundraising swims in the past.
