Here I sit on another September 5th, which marks 7 years without my Dad. September 5th this year also kicks off Clemson football season. Growing up, football was a big part of our fall weekends, and when I went to Clemson, it only got bigger. During my years with the Tampa Bay Clemson Club, our whole fall revolved around Tiger football, and Dad was right there with us, cheering the Tigers on and helping raise scholarship money for local Clemson students. So, it feels only natural to kick off this year's Miles for Moffitt campaign in his honor, with an act of service and Clemson football.
But this year I get to kick off Clemson football season and my Miles for Moffitt campaign together. It's going to be a great season!
And if I'm being a little bold, I'm hoping Dad gives Clemson a heavenly advantage over LSU tonight. Go Tigers!
I keep running every year because of what donors like you made possible. You relieved my family from the financial burden of fighting cancer, and I run to pay that back, and to pay it forward to the families fighting right now, and the ones who'll face this battle after us.
Please join me in the fight against cancer, in honor of my Dad, by contributing to my Miles for Moffitt campaign this year.
Every mile honors Dad. Every donation supports a family still in the fight.
