Lyme is Local Walk

Join our team for the Lyme is Local 5K on September 24th to raise money to provide grants for Lyme patients in the Kansas City area.  The Center for Disease Control (CDC) reports that Lyme disease is the fastest growing vector-borne infectious disease in the U.S. More than 500,000+ people report cases every year and many go undetected! 

Diagnosis is difficult, testing is unreliable and treatment is costly.  The funds raised from the walk will go toward grants for members of the Lyme Association of Greater Kansas City to offset medical expenses that insurance doesn't pay.  Many tick-borne patients have failing health, vast medical bills and are unable to work.  Let's give them some hope!
