Family and friends,
I’m honored to be participating in my 17th consecutive Pedal the Cause bike challenge to help advance cancer research.
I ride in support of the many family members and friends who have battled cancer, including Billy Borst, Mike C., John Budd, Matt Budd, John Griffard, Bud Straumann, Anne Wood, Chuck Wood, Ed Kleinman, Aunt Hilda, Donna Griffard, Bev Parker(Donna's older sister - 4 time breast cancer survivor). Cheryl Cuddy, Aleda Budd, Patti T., Tom Tulley, and so many others. I also ride in memory of David Kraenzle, Janet Griffard, Jim Kreft, Dieter Ungerboeck, Tate K., Mark Tulley, Scott Kleinman, Sue Davis (Nana), John Budd (Dad), Leo Griffard, Jerry Griffard, and Uncle Charlie.
Billy, my brother Matt, Aunt Hilda, and Bud Straumann have received treatment at Siteman Cancer Center. I hope your contributions will help fund research that leads to improved treatments and better outcomes for them and for countless others. For those receiving care throughout the United States, I hope the research supported here in St. Louis continues to be shared and advanced by cancer centers around the world.
There are more cancer treatment options today than ever before, thanks to the dedication of researchers and the support of organizations like Pedal the Cause. Your generosity helps fund innovative research, create new possibilities, and offer hope to patients and their families.
Thank you for your incredible support throughout my first 16 years of participating in this event. Before this year’s ride, Your support has helped me raise $23,171 for cancer research, and I’m deeply grateful for your generosity. Our team(Scott's Team) has raised $101,145 over 15 years in honor of Scott Kleinman who lost his battle with brain cancer in 2014. Much of the funding raised through Pedal the Cause provides critical seed money for promising research—funding that can lead to significantly larger investments and breakthroughs.
This year, I plan to ride a metric century—62 miles—on Sunday, September 20. I have committed to raising at least $2,500, and 100% of your donation will go directly to support cancer research. Donations will be accepted through the end of October.

Thank you for helping us pedal toward better treatments, more hope, and a cure.
