The fundraiser ends Friday, and although I just reached my latest goal of $500, I am hoping to raise as much as I can for this charity or hit my new goal of $750 or I stop moving. Which knowing me, will likely be 11:59 pm tomorrow.

As one of the many thousands of federal workers who are awaiting the courts to determine if I, like countless others, keep my role as a federal worker. Naturally, I figured I do something constructive with my time and made a promise to continue to serve by raising funds for others in need.

On May 1st, I signed up to walk, run, ride, row or swim 38 miles and have been blessed to clock just over 240 miles and counting for charity.

I'm raising money to help FEEA: the Federal Employee Education and Assistance Fund with their disaster relief, emergency hardship, and scholarship programs. FEEA has assisted more than 60,000 federal families since 1986. You can learn more about their work at feea.org.

You can donate anonymously if you like. Suggestions to contribute $10 if you can or $30 if your blessed enough. To celebrate AmeriCorps (currently my agency) 30 years in service to your state. If you can’t donate encourage your elected officials to keep critical agencies like AmeriCorps, that prove to be priceless.
