Why help?
Pets bring joy to millions of people. Dogs have what I refer to as "puppy power" where their mere presence has the power to lift spirits and improve moods. Of course, other critters have similar powers, but I never could get any other to run a 10K with me!
Every day, animals get lost, are abandoned, or are relinquished. Even when they are in loving homes, sometimes their humans need a little assistance to ensure their health and safety. Many organizations do whatever they can to help them. By supporting the Verona Street Animal Society, you are enabling them to do more to help animals get what they deserve in our local community.
How VSAS Helps
- Providing food, shelter, enrichment and medical care at the shelter
- Promoting adoption, lost and found, and spay/neuter programs
- Supporting under-served communities by providing access to pet resources
Any donation helps VSAS meet the needs of the many animals in their care throughout the year. This year is my seventh year racing The Fast and the Furriest and the first year I'm launching a fundraiser for it. So, to celebrate both things, my goal is $107. Of course, if I've already reached it by the time you are considering donating, I'd be glad to exceed my goal!
