Join us on Saturday, October 3, 2020 for Ostomy Awareness Day (OAD) with your own 5k at your favorite place to run, walk or roll!
Gather your family and friends to have a great time, and to Run for Resilience! To ensure that you receive your race Bib, please register by Monday, September 28th at 1:00 p.m. EST, otherwise your Bib will be emailed to you (on registrations received by 1pm EST on October 3rd).
You can order a special Ostomy Awareness Day technical race t-shirt when you sign up for the virtual race. When registering, choose the option for Virtual Ostomy 5k – Including Technical T-shirt. Register by September 11th to register at the 'Early Bird' fee of $17.50, the rate will increase to $20.00 after September 11th. Both fees include shipping.
To ensure you receive the T-Shirt size you ordered, please register by Friday, September 11th. We will do our best to provide you with the T-Shirt size you ordered or a similar size, however, this is not guaranteed after September 11th. (Shirts and bibs can only be shipped to addresses in the USA. Registrants outside the USA, please contact UOAA on shipping options). Additional donations are appreciated to help offset costs. Bib numbers can be emailed worldwide.
CELEBRATE THE DAY!
♦ Run, walk or roll a 5k (3.1 miles) route of your choice near you. Ask your family and friends to join you, and create your own mini-event. You can even run/walk on a treadmill!
♦ Take pictures of yourself doing your virtual race and email them to us or tag us on Facebook or Instagram.
♦ Promote ostomy awareness and education to your family, friends and community on Ostomy Awareness Day. Post your experience to both UOAA's Facebook page and the Run For Resilience Facebook page!
♦ Hashtag your photos #RunforResilience and we may repost on Twitter or Instagram.
♦ Fundraising is an important aspect of our Run for Resilience Ostomy 5K. Funds raised help UOAA continue to provide resources, educational materials, advocacy and support to the ostomy and continent diversion community.
