Heidi's Bio
Heidi joined the RMS team as an assistant timer in 2018. She never imagined as she biked the hills of Fort Ritchie that two years later she would be on the other side of the fence with the timing crew.
When the opportunity came to work with Racine, Heidi was eager to get involved. “I am so inspired by all the participants and the discipline it takes to get to race day. I love being a part of making these events the best they can be and cheering every athlete over the finish line.”
Life outside of RMS: Heidi has a B.S. in secondary English education and taught high school in Norfolk, Virginia way back when. Highlights between then and now include raising two boys (now in their 20s), staying involved musically as a singer and violinist, leading team trips to Haiti for projects in schools and orphanages, completing her first of several sprint tris at the age of 47, staying active with 5/10ks, and doing a half-century ride to celebrate turning 50.
Heidi works in Harrisburg at The Hospital and Healthsystem Association of Pennsylvania assisting the legislative advocacy staff in advocacy efforts with the Pennsylvania General Assembly, the governor’s office, and the PA congressional delegation on behalf of the association’s 240 member hospitals and health systems.
Heidi lives in Grantham, PA with her husband and is very happy when her boys are home or she’s at the beach.
