Kate has been volunteering for Racine MultiSports since 2013, but in 2016 she officially joined the team as an announcer.

Kate’s oldest son was participating in the Hagerstown Kids Triathlon and she received an email asking for volunteers and signed up. Kate had a really good time volunteering and continued to sign up as her family became more involved in triathlons. One time she saw there was a pre-race announcer volunteer position available and signed up. That was Kate’s first try at announcing. She says, “Ken set me up for success, always said thank-you, and I had fun.”  Now she is announcing full races including pre and post race announcing. “I am the Racine MultiSports voice cheering on the athletes at many of the Racine MultiSports’ hosted events.  Each athlete doing the hard work should have a personal cheerleader; I am that cheerleader. ”

Kate enjoys being a part of a team who values employees and volunteers and working for a company that inspires lifelong fitness.

Kate’s Favorite Racine MultiSports race: “The 2015 Hagerstown Triathlon where my husband competed in the adult triathlon, my two boys competed in the Kids Triathlon, and I competed in the 5K Race.  We also volunteered that day – it was great!”
