Trot Spot: Rent-A-Tent

Do you come to the Turkey Trot with your friends, family, club, team, company, or any other group???

You can now claim your very own 10'x10' tented spot at the Westfield Turkey Trot.

$75 gets your group a reserved 10'x10' tent with table and 4 chairs. We'll even pre-package your group's registration materials, which means no lines!

Your own reserved area, no lines, a place to relax and enjoy your post-race refreshments - a great deal! (personal use only, no soliciting)

Environmental Strides

We encourage carpooling to all of our events. If you live locally, please consider using the walk or jog to Tamaques Park as your warm-up!

We encourage you to bring your own water in your favorite reusable bottle or hydration pack to reduce the amount of waste produced at the event. We will always have water available for each of you, but this is one easy way to reduce single-use plastics.

Please be mindful of trash bins vs. recycling bins. We want every single one of our recyclable items to make it to the recycling center instead of the landfill.

We now accept your tyvek bibs for recycling! There will be a drop box near Results after you run.

In exciting news, we have partnered with TREES NOT TEES. You can now opt out of receiving your included souvenir tee and instead a tree will be planted and cared for on your behalf! Not only can you help reduce our collective event impact on the environment, but you'll receive a certificate post-event with a picture of a recently planted sapling and it's exact geo-location so you can digitally share your awesome choice!

We have partnered with Liquid Death mountain water to murder your thirst and save the planet. Their water comes in infinitely recyclable cans!

Adopt-a-Can contest! Did you know we go through anywhere between 50 and 100 giant cans of soup each year? Recycling is awesome, but so is UPCYCLING! Take one of our cans home with you, transform it into something awesome like a planter or wine bucket or utensil holder and compete for the best CANformation!

Be a Waste Warrior - join our army of eco-conscious runners. Grab a bag before or after your run and help ensure we separate ALL of our recyclables.

Racequality

Our recent past has been eye-opening to some problems our running community faces both globally and locally. Change starts at home with our own events. Going forward we strive to make our events wholly inclusive, diverse, equitable, welcoming to all, and environmentally friendly. We know this will be an ongoing journey, but it starts by announcing our intention. We need your help! As a member of our local running community, please reach out if you have any feedback or suggestions on how to attain these goals. It'll take Teamwork and fresh insights to get there!

2021 brought the addition of the non-binary overall and age group scoring division in addition to male and female.

2021 also brought the long overdue official addition of the wheeled athlete scoring division in honor of our friend Melissa Betkowski Platt! We are actively seeking a large field of wheeled athletes. Please reach out if you know any groups or individuals who can offer us insights on how to make our event fully accessible.

USATF-NJ Grand Prix

The 5 Miler and 5280 Run offer 500 USATF-NJ Grand Prix points for current members.
