Hi friends and family!
First of all, thank you to everyone who helped me (Will) raise over $3000 last year for Running for Odyssey! This year- it is both Will and Addison Gira, and we are fundraising for Odyssey. We believe in everyone having equal quality education, and we want some kids like us to have the same educational privileges as we do. Odyssey is an academic six-week summer program that helps great kids from Atlanta Public Schools have a chance to obtain education and extracurricular activities in their summer. This can impact the lives of everyone who gets a chance to join this program because education is one of the key things that leads to success. We are grateful for all Odyssey has done, and this would not be possible without your help. Please help us raise money for Odyssey by getting your family and friends to join our Running For Odyssey team. Our goal is $2500.00, which is the cost to send 1 kid to the Odyssey program. Since 2004, Odyssey’s six-week summer education program has transformed the lives of thousands of students from the metro area. Through its partnership with the Westminster Schools, Odyssey serves over 375 students each year and provides them with a gold-standard learning opportunity that incorporates project-based learning and a STEAM curriculum for grades 1-12.
Odyssey's tuition-free program targets "middle third" students - typically from underperforming schools in neighborhoods with fewer resources-who may need the extra push, the nurturing environment, and the sense of community that a multi-year program can provide
100% of Odyssey students graduate high school on time and are accepted
to a college or university of their choosing!
