This year life is a bit complicated so I have not been able to volunteer at NMLC, but have been able to follow all the good work and renovations via Facebook! I am continually impressed with NMLC as an organization…enough so to jump into the ice cold ocean to raise money for them! My good friend Cindy Mock is taking the plunge for a second year with me!
At 11:00 AM on February 4th, 2024 at Onset Beach, plungers will be diving into the freezing cold ocean just like the juvenile seals that the National Marine Life Center rehabilitates do.
Typically, marine life in New England can handle the extreme changing temperatures, however, for those animals who are slow to migrate south, or are sick, injured, or have been left to fend on their own too early, the cold weather can be excruciating and eventually lead decline.
We are taking this challenge to experience these freezing cold temperatures to raise donations to help NMLC take in more wildlife.
Any amount ($5, $10, $20, $50, $100+) will be a huge help.
Could you help support the cause??? If so, we'd greatly appreciate it!
