Hi,
I just wanted to let everyone know that I'll be joining my mom & dad this year for the Tower Climb in New York. I've been to the Freedom Tower for a summer camp day trip, but I'm climbing this time - all 2,226 steps. That's a lot.
I heard about the climb from my parents who've done it before and from time to time they've talked about September 11, 2001 to us. Even though it happened before I was born in 2012, I remember how they say it changed their lives. They also talked about a man they knew named Manny who introduced them to the climb. He died in 2021, but they still climb in memory of him and those who died on September 11th. Last year I asked if I could climb and this year they asked if I wanted to join.
So here we are.
This is my first time and I feel scared but excited at the same time. Anything you can do to support us would be nice. Thank you.
