Description
The Salisbury Zoo's annual Zoo Stampede 5K, sponsored by Vernon Powell Shoes, is set for Saturday, April 20, at 9 a.m. The race kicks off from the Salisbury Zoo's East Gate (across from the Elks Golf Club). The race will go through the Zoo and along the Salisbury City Park's greenway. The course is primarily along a crushed-stone path. 100% of the proceeds from the event will benefit the Salisbury Zoo.
Participants will receive:
- A tech shirt (if registered by April 5, 2024 at 11:59 p.m.)
- Bagels, fruit and beverages after the race
- The chance to win door prizes from Vernon Powell Shoes
Prizes:
- Overall male and female winners will receive a gift certificate for a free pair of shoes from Vernon Powell Shoes.
- Three age group winners in each category will receive medals. The first-place winner in each age group will also receive a VP Shoes gift card.
Dogs and other pets are not allowed in the zoo and are not permitted in this event. Service animals are the only dogs permitted in the Zoo.

Early Packet Pickup
Stay tuned for more information about early packet pickup. Packet pickup will also be available on-site race morning from 7:30-8:30 a.m. in the parking lot near the Zoo's East Gate.
