I am raising money for Blazer Bolt, Inc. It is a 501(c)(3) organization whose annual event is the Blazer Bolt for Brain Cancer. This race was created entirely to support those who are battling brain cancer. All proceeds will directly benefit the University of Alabama Birmingham Division of Neuro Oncology and Children’s of Alabama Neuro Oncology for research of adult and pediatric brain cancer as well as patient support services. This is personal. My son, Zach passed away 10 months after his diagnosis. That last month, which included his 21st birthday, was spent in a hospital bed, often in excruciating pain. I want a cure, so no child, no parent will have to experience this pain.
