Friday Packet Pick Up and EXPO

Q: Where, when and how do I pick up my bib and shirt on Friday?
A: Packet Pick Up is in the lobby at the Kroc Center of Greenville, 424 Westfield Street, Greenville, 20601. Packet pick-up is from 12:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. You may pick up packets for your friends and family as long as you have their permission (but that's up to you). Be aware there is no race day packet pickup or registration.

Q: Where do I park on Friday?
A: The parking around the Kroc Center is severely limited and the main Kroc parking lot is reserved for Kroc members only. The recommended parking areas are on Hudson Street in the parking lot next to A.J. Whittenburg Elementary and the new parking lot at Welborn Commons in Unity Park. These require about 5 minutes of walking.

Q: Where and when is the EXPO?
A: The EXPO is at the Kroc Center on Friday from 12:00 p.m. to 6 p.m.

Race Day Event Parking

Q: Where is the best place to park for the event on Saturday?
A: The recommended parking lot is County Square located at 301 University Ridge. County Square is about 1/2 mile away so take that in consideration when planning your trip schedule. There may be a few on-street parking spaces available on Augusta Street and surrounding streets, but ALL ROADS AROUND THE PERIMETER OF FLUOR FIELD WILL BE CLOSED TO TRAFFIC AND PARKING. The City of Greenville has many parking garages to the north of the venue, towards downtown. There may be some parking at Greenville High School, which is only 10 minutes away by foot.

Race Day Packet Pick Up and Gear Check

Q: Where and when do I pick up my bib and shirt on race day?
A: Due to the size of this event, there will not be race day registration or packet pickup on race day.

Q: Where, when, and how do I check my gear?
A: Gear check will be located adjacent to the packet pick up on the Greenville Drive/Fluor Field concourse. Gear check starts at 5:30am and stays open 'til the last bag is picked up but not later than 12:30 PM.

Start Lines and Start Times

Q: Where are the start lines?
A: The start line for ALL RACES is on Main Street about 200' north of the Fluor Field entrance.

Q: When do the races start?
A: Please memorize these start times: Marathon - 6am, Half Marathon - 7:30am, 10K - 7:45am, 5K - 8:00am. Note: Marathoners should plan to wear headlamps. First Light does not occur 'til around 7:15am on race day.

Course Marking, Aid Stations, Toilets, and First Aid

Q: How will the courses be marked?
A: The courses will be marked with arrow signs at every turn. Course monitors are planned for HM, 5K and 10K U-turns on the Swamp Rabbit Trail and directional turns for the marathon.  However, stuff happens so it is critical that you pay attention to the signs. South Main Street, River Street and Reedy, all of which are in the first part of your races will be illuminated, but the Swamp Rabbit Trail will not be.

Q: Where are the Aid Stations?
A: Water stops with water and electrolyte fluids will be provided ~ every 3 miles.

Q: Where are the toilets?
A: Toilets will be provided ~ every 3-4 miles.

Q: Where is first aid?
A: St Francis Sports Medicine will handle first aid and will have registered EMTs at the event. In case you see someone on the course who needs more than standard first aid call 911. Otherwise, stop to assist the individual if they are not already being assisted, tell fellow runners to immediately contact a course monitor or police officer and stay with the individual until help arrives. Saving a life is more important than finishing a race.

Timing, Results and Awards

Q: Will you have a timing mat at the start (chip start)?
A: YES! The timing company will have timing mats at the start line for the 5K, 10K and Half Marathon. In keeping with USATF standards, the awards will be based on GUN TIME. If you are a competitive runner, please start close to the front if you are competing for an award in the Overall division. If you're an Age-Group competitive racer, the best advice is not to worry so much about being at the front at the start. Try to line up just behind your arch rival(s) then "shadow" them during the race. If it's your day, you will conserve enough energy to break away and pass them before the finish.

Q: When will you post results?
A: The timing company will post live results, so you'll be able to see your UNOFFCIAL finish time almost immediately on your smartphone. Official results will take longer to process and post, since the timer will need to resolve various issues which are bound to crop up.

Q: Where and when are the Awards Ceremonies?
A: Awards Ceremonies at Spinx Run Fest this year will take place on the concourse at Fluor Field, near the finish line.

Miscellaneous Topics

Q: Is the Swamp Rabbit Marathon a Boston Qualifier?
A: Yes. The 2024 Swamp Rabbit Marathon is a USATF certified course, #number-coming-soon. The timing company will submit your official finishing time to the BAA for consideration if you plan on trying to get in the upcoming Boston Marathon.

Q: Can I run with a baby jogger, or can I walk with a stroller? Can I run with my dog?
A: Due to the number and safety of participants, we can not allow pets or strollers on the courses.

The Spinx Company and Charitable Giving

Q: What is the Spinx Company?
A: Glad you asked. The Spinx Company owns and operates over 80 convenience stores across South Carolina. They are headquartered in Greenville and the first stored opened near downtown in 1972. The company's founder, Stewart Spinks, is a visionary and great believer in giving back to the community. The Spinx Company has been title sponsor for Spinx Run Fest since 2004. With the generous support from Spinx, the Greenville Track Club has established Spinx Run Fest as one of the most popular Fall running events in the Southeast and over the years, a quarter million dollars in proceeds from the event have gone to help local charities.
