Seaside Striders Running Club is excited to announce its FALL Run Club's Session #1 is kicking off the week of Sept 12th, and running 6 weeks through October 23rd. Join some great people at North County's favorite in-person workouts for runners. Get in some social time, fantastic running, and most importantly, get fitter and train for your next goal in a setting that will help you discover and blossom your joy and motivation for running!
Now is the time to get back in the groove with your running. While things are opening up more and more, we're still taking a few precautions to keep things safe, but we've got a great system that's working well, providing terrific, social "group" workouts, and inspiring terrific fitness results from club members.
Continuing for Fall 2021, we will be hosting a 6 week block during September and October designed to provide that boost in running while manifesting the fitness boost that will help you reach your goals. The Spring Session's season begins on Saturday, September 11th, and runs until Saturday, October 23rd.
We have multiple options available for Fall Run Club's Session 1 to accommodate the various levels of motivation we are all experiencing during this time including 4 levels of group schedules, and individualized weekly personal schedules.
Seaside Striders Running Club is coached by Jim O'Hara who has been coaching running and triathlon for over 20 years. He's a former Team USA athlete, a 3 All-American, and an RRCA Certified Coach with a Bachelor's in Exercise Science from the University of Hawaii. The club's coaching philosophy is built around the concept of improving runner's abilities and confidence by combining classic running theory with up to date and data driven concepts while focusing on creating a life/sport balance. Each runner benefits from group workouts, while also having a personalized running schedule to suit their individual goals.
Option 1 -Personalized Weekly Run Schedules
Get a little more 1 on 1 coaching with a personal run schedule sent straight to your inbox each week. This allows for more coaching interaction, a higher level of customization of your workouts, and added flexibility from week to week. You'll receive your individualized weekly run schedule, group workout details, and newsletter each week. It's the perfect balance of group runs and personal coaching.
Seaside Striders Running Club has always prided itself for it's attention to personal coaching in a running club setting. We all have different goals, and that may never be more true than now. Personalized weekly schedules allow you to benefit from group workouts while still focusing on you, and your individual needs as a runner.
Option 2 - 6 Week Block Customizable Block Schedule
This option gives you the ability to customize your workout with a stress free 6 week schedule that covers the entire 6 weeks of Spring Run Club's Session 2. It allows participants the guidance you're looking for and workouts that will keep you fit, and motivate during the fall run season no matter what your long or short term goals.
- 6 Week Group Schedule - A full 6 weeks' running schedule with tiered options A-D based on goals and abilities, and our famous Speed Work PDF w options A-D (Beginner to Advanced, but all can be coordinated with a different lettered Block Schedule). These can be customized to fit your week to week availability.
