Wave Runners

Wave Runners is a fun and supportive program for members that begins in late Feb and runs through our graduation race (Lake Run) on the first Saturday in May. You’ll learn how to properly train your body to endure and enjoy longer runs, and you’ll be prepared for either of the Lake Run distances 7K or 12K. Wave Runners will keep you going and motivated through the early spring running season. Register below

Registration Fee Includes:
11 weeks of guidance and training to safely prepare for the Lake Run which is the first Saturday in May.
Registration fee included for the Lake Run 7K or 12K .
Lake Run race shirt
Wave Runner program shirt
Gatorade and water provided at each training session.
Camaraderie with runners the same level as you.
Runners are placed into pace groups, each with experienced leaders to coach and motivate you through the different weekly workouts.
Runners must be a member of the Lake Run Club to participate in WaveRunners training program. You will have the opportunity to join or renew your LRC membership when you register for WaveRunners. Annual membership to the Lake Run Club is an additional cost and not included in the WaveRunners training fee.

Heat Wave - Program Info is Available
Women of all ages and abilities are invited to register for Heat Wave. Heat Wave is a 9-week, women-only training program that will prepare you for the Evergreen Lake 5K. Heat Wave will begin Monday June 5th and continue each Monday through July 31st at 5:30 p.m. at the Lake Run Club Office (305 S Linden Street, Normal IL).
