Lake Run Race Thanks for Participating in the 45th Annual Lake Run! This event will benefit our local scouting troops who worked our water stops at Lake Bloomington.

Kids Run for Fun Starting Friday June 5th at Central Catholic High School at 1201 Airport Road in Bloomington, IL for the month of June. Kingsley Jr High for the month of July. NCHS track is getting resurfaced during 2026, but we do plan to return there in 2027.

Not looking for a race, rather a free social fun running event? Checkout our upcoming Multi-sport event on Sat May 16th. Bike, Run, or just come out for lunch which is free! We will have run and bike routes inside the park and around Lake Bloomington. Donations will benefit Timber Pointe Outdoor Center

Lake Run Club History
What started as two friends enjoying a run around Lake Bloomington in the early 1980's. Evolving into Thursday afternoon runs around Lake Bloomington. Lake Run Club is one of the longest established Central Illinois’ premier run club; providing fun and challenging races, programs, services, and social events for all ages and abilities. The Lake Run Club is a not-for-profit organization that’s powered by volunteers to promote running and racing in the Bloomington-Normal area.
The Lake Run Club is open to everyone, and is accepting new members. Whether you’re a casual runner or a marathon enthusiasts, we’re looking forward to running with you. We may take running seriously, but the fun and friendly roots of the club are still alive and well, and we want you to join in on the fun.
