There will be a Track & Field informational meeting on Tuesday, January 6, 2026 at 3:00 p.m. in the cafeteria. Anyone interested in finding out more about track and field should attend this short but important meeting. We should end by 4:00 p.m.

Track and Field season begins January 20, 2026. If you wish to participate, please see the two requirements below:

SPORTSYOU: Every athlete and at least one parent per family must join our LRHS T&F Team on the SportsYou app. This is where all team and parent communication will take place. Your data is secure on SportsYou and remains in the USA, unlike some other team/group apps. Contact one of the coaches to receive the access code to join.
ELIGIBILITY: You must complete the online athletic clearance and pay insurance before you may practice or participate in any conditioning with us. If you participated in another sport during the 2025-26 school year, you need to log in to your athletic clearance account and select track and field as one of your sports. Uniforms will only be issued to those who are eligible/cleared which means 1) completed physical and athletic clearance completed online, 2) select track and field as a sport in athletic clearance, 3) paid athletic participation/insurance online, and 4) paid team fee.
The Athletic Participation Fee includes the athletic insurance and a student pass to all home games so be sure to use the student email when paying so they will have access to the GoFan account/tickets/pass on their phone.

PRACTICE: The schedule and location may vary by event group, but generally you will meet at the track directly after school. Stadium restrooms are available for dressing out into your running clothes and shoes.
General practice schedule will be Monday-Friday 2:50 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. and Saturday mornings.

COMMUNICATION: We need every athlete and at least one parent per athlete to be in our LRHS T&F team on the SportsYou app. We will use that to communicate important team information to you regarding meet schedules, travel, home meet volunteers, and the awards banquet. It is very important that we are able to keep you updated so please ask a coach to help you sign up. Thank you.

MEET RESULTS: All track and field meet results will be posted on TFRRS Florida.

LRHS T&F TEAM GEAR:

Our BSN online store will be open in January 2026. Once the store closes, they print and ship all the merchandise directly to you. The cutoff date is set so you receive the merchandise about a month into our competitive season. Our team earns 10% of sales. Thank you for your support!

Please sign up as a family - add the athlete's name and email plus at least one parent's name and email. This is a back up only to how we will communicate important information about meets, travel, home meet volunteers, and the awards banquet. The primary method of communication will be the SportsYou app. You may add more than one parent to receive our important team emails, but please add at least one parent and the athlete. Parents - we also need an emergency contact number for your athlete. We hope to never have to use it, but it's better to have it than not. This is for the sprints, hurdles, and jumps group - 100m, 200m, sprint relays, 110/100m hurdles, 400m hurdles, high jump, long jump, and triple jump.

Distance/Mid Distance Runners

Please sign up as a family - add the athlete's name and email plus at least one parent's name and email. This is a back up only to how we will communicate important information about meets, travel, home meet volunteers, and the awards banquet. The primary method of communication will be the SportsYou app. You may add more than one parent to receive our important team emails, but please add at least one parent and the athlete. Parents - we also need an emergency contact number for your athlete. We hope to never have to use it, but it's better to have it than not. This is for the middle distance and distance runners - 400m, 800m, 1600m, 3200m, and mid/distance relays.

Throws

Parents - we also need an emergency contact number for your athlete. We hope to never have to use it, but it's better to have it than not. This is for the throws group - javelin, shot put, and discus.
