Beginner 5K Training Program
The Beginner 5K Training Program is designed to help those who want to run a 5K for their first time, their first time in a while, are recovering from an injury, or looking to increase their pace.
Each class will start with a structured warmup and will be followed by a structured stretching program after each class.
The Tues & Thurs classes will also include strengthening exercises including core exercises, squats, lunges, and a variety of other exercises to enhance your running and strengthen the body.
• Beginning Date: TUES, NOV 28TH
• Last Training Day: THURS, JAN 11TH
• Optional Goal Race Jan 13th: Shiver by the River 5k/10k & 2 Mile Walk
Please note that Barrier Breakers registration does NOT include
registration for the goal race or any other race.
TRAINING DAYS & TIMES:
• SATURDAY: 8:30 AM
• TUESDAY: 6:00 PM
• THURSDAY: 6:00 PM
LOCATION
All groups will meet at the Valley Running Company, but other meeting locations may be announced throughout the session. Location changes will be announced at practice and via the email that you are registering with.
