The Steamtown Marathon Training program is designed to PROGRESSIVELY build longer distances.
In order to join the Running Program, you MUST CURRENTLY BE ABLE TO RUN 10 MILES WITHOUT ANY WALKING WHILE EASILY MAINTAINING A 13:00 MIN MILE. This is for safety reasons since we will be running through the streets of Scranton.
• Beginning Date: Tuesday, June 18th
• Last Training Day: Saturday, October 12th
• Optional Goal Race: Steamtown Marathon - 26.2 Miles, Sunday October 13th
Please note that the SRC Steamtown Marathon Training Program registration does NOT include registration for the goal race or any other race. Workouts are coached with participants running at a defined paced with other program participants.
Discount Week: June 18th - June 26th
Registered participants will receive 15% off of all regular priced Scranton Running Company merchandise and 20% off all regular priced Brooks merchandise. (Discount cannot be used on previous purchases and dates are non-transferable. Reward points will accumulate but cannot be with the discount)
Steamtown Marathon Training Days & Times:
• Tuesdays and Thursdays @ 6:00 PM
• Saturdays and Sundays @ 8:00 AM
Location:
All groups will meet at the Scranton Half Marathon Pavilion at the Olive Street Trailhead, but other meeting locations may be announced throughout the session. Location changes will be announced at practice and via the email that you are registering with.
