Greater Williamsburg Distance Running Club (GWDRC)
GWDRC, established in 2014, promotes distance running and pole vaulting in Greater Williamsburg. We offer affordable youth cross-country and track races, fostering top-tier athletes.

🏆 Recent Achievements:

Girls Middle School Club State Champions & Boys Middle School Runner-ups
Jonathan Grimm – Set the state 4K record (12:45) & ran 15:19 at Dog Street 5K, breaking his own road race record
Amelia Valenti – State runner-up
Isabella Strumke – Girls’ Elementary School State Champion & record-breaker for 10 & under

Spring Training 2026

Location: Jamestown High School Track & Green Spring Trail
Time: 5:00–6:00 PM

March: 17, 19, 24, 26, 31
April: 2, 14, 16 (April 18 – Run the Dog 5K), 21, 23 (mini meet), 28, 30
May: 5, 7, May 9 Virginia Regional Ballet 5K at First Colony

Cost: $100/season (3rd–8th grade & 9th–12th home-schoolers) + $20 AAU Membership
