Greater Williamsburg Distance Running Club (GWDRC)
GWDRC, established in 2014, promotes distance running and pole vaulting in Greater Williamsburg. We offer affordable youth cross-country and track races, fostering top-tier athletes.

I'm excited to announce that our Fall Cross Country season will begin on Tuesday, September 1st at Jamestown High School. We would love to have your athlete join us again this season.

GWDRC is open to boys and girls in 3rd through 8th grade who can run one mile without stopping. We also welcome home school high school athletes who would like to continue training with the club. 

Homeschool athletes may participate from 3rd through 12th grade.

This fall we are excited to welcome our new head coach, Emma Rogers. Emma is an elementary school teacher at Waller Mill Elementary School and has an outstanding running background. She was a Virginia State Champion in the 3200m at Hidden Valley High School and helped lead the girls' team to a state championship in 2018. She continued her running career at William & Mary and currently enjoys training for 5Ks, 10Ks, and marathons. We are excited to have her leading our athletes this season. Sign up for GWDRC: 

All athletes must have a current AAU membership before attending their first practice.

Beginning after August 15th, please purchase an AAU Youth Athlete Membership and send a copy of your athlete's AAU card to me. The current AAU Youth Athlete Membership fee is approximately $22 for the membership year.
