Bears might sleep through the winter, but for Winchester-area runners this is the time of year to start training for our favorite local race: the 2017 Apple Blossom 10K!
By signing up for the training program, you'll find yourself guided by a team of experienced runners and surrounded by a group of friends all pursuing the same goal. Whether this 2017 Apple Blossom 10K is your first or your 100th race, we want to help you have your best training season ever.
After you register, you will be invited to join a private Facebook group. We'll also send you a short survey so we can tailor your training to your specific needs.
We want you to achieve your Apple Blossom 10K goals this spring whether you want to cross the finish line for the first time or set a new PR. Join us!
We'll coordinate group Saturday morning runs starting Feb. 18 and group evening runs following the time change. The Tuesday and Thursday evening runs will be at 6pm. Saturday morning runs will be at 8am.
Registration open between January 9 and February 27.
Novice means new. So if you're new to half marathon training, this program is for you! Not sure where you belong? This is a good place to start. You can always move to the intermediate program free of charge.
This training program is for you if the Apple Blossom 10K isn't your first rodeo. Worried it might be too challenging? No problem! You can easily drop to the novice program later.
