What: The Wheels for Work & Play Free Bike Program provides new bicycles to youth and adults in Hurricane and the surrounding areas. MMTA hopes this gives the recipients a reliable, economic, and easy method of transportation for those in need. One Aventon E-bike and one Specialized Rockhopper per year will be donated to an adult and/or youth. (Bikes brands/models are subject to availability and may vary.) Our annual goal is to choose someone in need of transportation for work/school and someone in need of a bike for recreational purposes.

How To Apply: Complete this application along with a letter of reference and submit to Tara Turley, MMTA Secretary at: sold@taraturley.com no later than January 31, 2024.

Details and Eligibility: Requests for free bikes will be reviewed and voted on by MMTA board no later than February 29, 2024. One bicycle per person. Applicants are required to sign a waiver of liability when picking up the completed bicycle. Free bikes received by minors must be signed for by an adult. Bicycles not claimed within 1 month of notification of completion will be forfeit by the recipient and given to another applicant. Hurricane, WV residents receive priority. If the bicycle is lost or stolen, the recipient may not receive a second bicycle. There is no age restriction. Bicycle may not be returned to bike shop for refund/money.

Must Have Submission Items:

• Letter of reference from a social service agency, business or community organization explaining how you will benefit from our program. Must be on the organization's letterhead and signed by the referrer.
