President's Recap- September into October    Scroll down for President Blog

President Jenny Wong

The run club in September had a spirited run down the rec path, Copper to Frisco in training for the Run The Rockies 10km and half marathon. The cool crisp mornings were perfect for training.

We always celebrate Frisco runs with coffee after at sponsor Abbeys.

Later in the month we had our last trail HH from Rotolos. 3mi on Breckenridge Trails with beer and fries at Rotolos after. Lynne and Rick joined us before they returned to Houston. Indika was in her final weeks in Breck for a while, with some work and travel taking her East.

The Run The Rockies 10km was so much fun. Even some rain didn’t dampen our spirits. Anne, Randi, Indika and I had great races. Frisco put on another fun event. Thanks as always to Town of Frisco for the discount offered to our club.

Octoberfest saw a group of runners get together socially with zero running involved. It was a beautiful weekend, and it’s so nice having these friendships that go beyond pavement and trails.

Susan, Autumn and I got out this week for some miles, and then socially for the Ridge St block party in Breckenridge. It was a really awesome free community event.

Run Club update: from our board meeting this week Susan Loken and Indika McCampbell are named Co-VP for the remainder of 2026/27. Previous VP Diego stepped down in June as he took a job in a neighboring county.

The vacant spot left in the board was filled by new board member Jonna Maas. A part time local, with a lively energy and passion for running. The remaining board members are: Theresa Burst (Secretary), Kevin Daly (Treasurer), Dwight Mikulis (IPP), Jenny Wong (President), Tracy Larson, Randi Strand.

Thanks to all who attended the meeting. The Annual Board meeting will likely be the first Thursday in December.
