LCRC is seeking energetic volunteers to assist with Packet Pick-Up and Race Day events task. Coordinating a race requires team effort. Behind the scenes, and all along the course route, volunteers are essential to provide a safe, organized and fun event. Volunteer as an individual, family or group. Numerous shifts and assignments are available to suit any interest and schedule. We need 50+ volunteers per race to make each event a success!

We rely on the dedication of volunteers to make all our race events a huge success, so please consider joining the fun!

All volunteers are required to sign up to volunteer thru each race event's website. Volunteers will be able to pick task(s) of their choosing unless task has met it's quota.  Please pay attention to date, time and location of selected task(s) as well as make sure you are available for the duration of the listed timeframe before committing to your desired position. Individual / Group volunteers will assist with nearly every aspect of the event, including:

• Packet Pickup / Registration - Assigning bibs and distributing goodie bags at Packet Pick-up.

• Organizing runners by corral at the start line and/or welcoming participants back at the finish line.

• Course Marshalling -Directing and cheering on the course to keep all race participants safe and motivated.

• Water Station Attendent - got to keep them hydrated

• Snack Attendent - Fuel the body / replish the soul

• Leading race(s) via bicycle - some one hase to show the way as well as communicate whos still on course

Your flexibility is greatly appreciated as we ensure all participants and volunteers have an enjoyable experience! If you can no longer attend your volunteer shift, please notify us as soon as possible. 

Each volunteer will receive a free Volunteer t-shirt, snacks and drinks.

LCRC will provide community service acknowledgment forms upon request.  LCRC  will only issue volunteer hours or a discounted entry to the individual working the event.  You may not have someone else complete volunteer hours on your behalf. Discount entries are not transferrable to another person.

To be considered a Volunteer group, your organization must be able to provide 10 or more volunteers. Group volunteer opportunities are great for schools, clubs, sports teams, fraternities, sororities, etc. To reserve volunteer spots for your group, please follow the instructions below:

• Interested group should email first to help coordinate group task selection.

• Youth groups will need at least one adult per location task to assist / monitor

• We will follow up with each volunteer group member with via confirmation email.

  • It is important to indicate the number of volunteers your group will be providing to ensure coverage and full support for our participants.

• Please make sure you are available for the opportunities and timeframes before committing to your desired position.

• ALL group members must fill out online volunteer signup. Group leader can sign up all with leader's or indiviuals's email

We are happy to provide verification of community service hours in return. Groups will only be eligible for these benefits by fulfilling the committed volunteer hours and requirements.
