Description
Create, Join, and Grow a Nordic Walking Group
NWANA Nordic Walking Groups connect individuals, organizations, and communities through Nordic Walking. Groups may be created for local communities, sports organizations, companies, schools, colleges, universities, healthcare organizations, senior communities, Parks & Recreation programs, fitness and wellness businesses, military and veteran communities, faith communities, government agencies, neighborhoods, homeowners associations, and other eligible communities.
Choose the Individual License that best matches the community or organization you want to support. An Individual License allows you to join an existing Nordic Walking Group or become the first licensed participant connected with the creation of a new group.
When an appropriate group does not yet exist, NWANA can create the group, provide its initial Group License, and establish a dedicated group page with tools for registration, programs, events, fundraising, communication, and community development. The initial Group License and group page are free, with no initial NWANA activity requirements.
Groups connected with a specific organization are created by that organization or with its permission. Some categories also allow independent community groups, as explained in the detailed license descriptions.
As a group develops, it may voluntarily apply for RECOGNIZED status. The annual $200 group license fee applies only after RECOGNIZED status is received.
If you do not see a category that fits your community or organization, contact NWANA. We will help you identify the most appropriate path.
