1. Do I have to be able to run a certain pace in order to join?
No, we have members to help pace you to reach your time goal.
2. Do I have to race a certain distance?
No, all of our members have time goals from 1 mile to a Full Marathon and beyond.
3. I don't have a 'runners body', will I fit in?
Of course, runners come in all shapes and sizes. You can do whatever you set your mind too. Let us help you reach your goal.
4. Do I have to stay in the group I start with?
You can if you like, but you are welcome to hop around until you find your groove. As you continue your fitness journey you may find you need to move to a faster pace or longer distance. We can help you find what works for you, but you will get to make that decision for yourself.
5. What about injuries?
If you are recovering from an injury and the doctor has given you clearance to be active again, we want you to come back to the group and continue training. You can move to a walk group, interval training and shorter distances to suit your recovery plan. You are welcome to come and visit and stay connected to team members even if you cannot participate. We miss you when you are not here.
7. What races should I be racing?
Any race that helps you reach your goals. Racing with team members is encouraged.
- Some team races in the first half of the year (Super Bowl 5k, Run for the House, Izzo Legacy 5k, Mason 5k, River Bank Run, Bayshore Marathon, Max’s Race)
-
Some team races in the second half of the year (Ele's Race 5k, Lake Lansing Relay, CRIM, Spartan XC Invite, LCC Invite, Capital City River Run, Autumn Classic, Ghost'ly Gallup, MITCA Meet of Champions, Lansing Turkey Trot)
