Raising $1,000 is easier than it may seem! You have your own fundraising page ready to be customized that you can send out to friends, family, coworkers, etc. All money is given up front so you don't have to collect money after the event. Our event staff is also available to answer any questions and help in any way we can (except raising the money for you!).
Here are some examples on how to raise $1,000:
- Ask 10 people to donate $1 per hole. $1 per hole x 100 holes = $100 x 10 people = $1,000!
- Ask 20 people do donate 50 cents per hole. 50 cents per hole x 100 holes = $50 x 20 people = $1,000!
- People can give any amount. Reaching $1,000 will be easier than you think when you put in the effort.
Tips:
- Customize your fundraising page (learn how to here!)
- Send an email and/or post about what you are doing on social media.
- Follow-up with a personal message/text/email or in person!
- Give updates on your progress. This will also let people know there is still time to donate.
- Use stories of how Wheeler Mission is helping the homeless – lives changed. You can find examples to share on Wheeler’s social media accounts and website:

Yes! Checks should be made out to Wheeler Mission. Write in the memo “100 Holes” with your name so we know who to give credit to. You can drop off or mail checks to Wheeler Mission, Attn: Tammy Ellis, 205 E New York Street, Indianapolis, IN 46204 and I’ll get them processed right away. You can also bring all checks and cash in an envelope, clearly marked with your name and the total amount inside the envelope on event day.
In the case of unsafe conditions on the course we will do our best to reschedule but there are no guarantees. All donations are final, tax deductible, and go to help the homeless men, women, and children Wheeler Mission serves.
