Hammer Out Hustle

At Full Send Racing we are committed to making a difference in the communities where we work and play.

We have the incredible opportunity to work with three charity partners for The O'Shenanigan Challenge:

Charity #1 - Echo Haiti

We are excited to continue our partnership with Echo Haiti.

The national news in Haiti is vastly different from the local news for our children in Bon Repos. Due to the generous support of our donors, we have been able to amplify hope in a place that is full of despair.  This hope comes through providing steady jobs for our orphanage workers, teachers, guards, and school staff.  It also comes to the children in having a steady place to grow, learn and dream of a solid future.  Recently we have been able to open our new school which replaced a three-room, 700 square foot building.  Our original school grew from educating 26 kids in the orphanage to 125 kids from the city of Bon Repos, while providing jobs for 12 teachers.  With the new school building and with increased staff, we have the potential to teach 300 students.  This not only impacts the orphans and the kids of Bon Repos, but it provides jobs that will benefit many families in the surrounding area.  This growth and potential is wildly exciting, but it also comes with a large financial responsibility.  Our goal is to hire six new teachers and two administrators. The cost per teacher is $163 per month or $1630 per year.  The cost per administrator is $217 per month or $2170 per year.   In addition to the school, we also continue to provide food, housing, counseling, mentoring and medical care to the children who live in our orphanage.  Our yearly budget has grown exponentially, but we love this challenge because the more money we invest the more we are amazed by how our friends in Haiti multiply the potential.

Charity # 2 - Eden Village ($2500 to furnish the Full Send Tiny House for a homeless person in Wilmington, NC)

Eden Village of Wilmington will be a 33-unit tiny home community specially designed to provide permanent homes for chronically homeless.   Through our other challenges, we have been able to build a tiny house for a chronically homeless person in Wilmington, NC.  The last step in the process is furnishing the house which will cost about $2500.

Homelessness is a traumatic experience that forces individuals into constant survival mode. Eden Village gives residents a chance to transition back into a life of consistency and community. The pedestrian only, gated, courtyard community gives residents a chance to share their experiences in a safe environment and receive services from within their own neighborhood. The residents will experience a radical transformation in their lives, which will in turn spread to benefit the community.

CHARITY #3 - Hammer it Out Hustle

Hammer Out Pediatric Cancer was started in 2013 by Chuck and Christine Towne in an effort to give back to MUSC after their son, Chase, went through months of treatments after being diagnosed with stage 4 Neuroblastoma at the age of 8 months.  Through the support of the community the Hammer Out Pediatric Cancer campaign has donated thousands of dollars to the Shawn Jenkins Children’s Hospital. The all-volunteer board works passionately in hopes of making a difference with children and families battling cancer.
