Support NHC Special Olympics Athletes
On February 21, 2026, I will be taking the PLUNGE for Special Olympics North Carolina and New Hanover County. All money raised helps support local athletes in our county. Please consider giving a donation to help more than 1000 athletes train in 27 different sports. This is the only fundraiser our county holds, the amount raised is what we have available to use for programming. We would love your support so we can continue our plans to grow out our program.

Special Olympics New Hanover County provides year-round sports training in 27 sports, 5 dances, movie nights, holiday events, local/regional/statewide competition, Summer Programs, and much more! Your donation helps fund travel to all competitions, uniforms and equipment for all sports, items for social events, and much more!
In New Hanover County, over 1000 athletes participate in Special Olympics. Our program relies solely on private and corporate support as well as the efforts of over 500 volunteers to provide these services at no cost to the athletes or their families.
