The Naked Iguana Brewery is an independent and locally owned craft brewery in Galveston, TX. It was founded by husband-and-wife team, Richard and Tracy Rennison, and opened in November 2023, just after Richard’s retirement as a Special Agent for the FBI. Richard has always had a passion for craft beer and started home brewing in 1997 after being given a home brew kit for Christmas by his parents. His love of brewing persisted through the years, and the couple decided to turn the hobby into a business, creating the island’s newest brewery.
The Naked Iguana Brewery is located on the Strand in Galveston’s historic downtown district. We hand craft the many varieties of beer and seltzers in-house and serve them with smiles in our uniquely stylish taproom with its cool, downtown vibe. We also serve wine and hard seltzer cocktails for the non-beer drinkers, as well as a variety of non-alcoholic beverages.
