The Animal Protective League (APL) is dedicated to ending the euthanasia of healthy, adoptable dogs and cats in Springfield and surrounding areas. APL operates a limited admission shelter that routinely finds loving homes for over 2,400 animals each year. In addition, APL's high-quality, low-cost spay/neuter clinic performs over 12,000 spay and neuter surgeries every year. APL also offers a pet food bank for citizens in the community who need help feeding their pet and last year gave out over 40,000lbs of food! APL also offers many volunteer opportunities including a summer junior volunteer program. Please consider making a donation to help APL continue it its live saving work!
