This year, I'm raising funds in memory of Lea (Potata), my canine compadre for the past 14 years. Lea was a special girl who was a great hiking companion even after she developed intervertebral disc disease (IVDD), which slowed her down physically but not mentally. She eventually needed to "hike" in her Radio Flyer red wagon, but she enjoyed getting out of the house and watching for Abert squirrels, wild turkeys, other dogs and people. She passed this spring. I still miss her but have many great memories!
Lea was a rescue dog that gave real meaning to the question, "Who rescued whom?"
It's in memory of Lea that I'm hoping to raise some funds to help homeless dogs and cats through Animal Humane! Please join me!
