The Katie Kirlin Fund was established in the memory of Katie, and her achievements in wheelchair athletics.  The Fund’s mission is to provide financial support, that fosters participation in wheelchair sports for children in the Philadelphia and surrounding areas.  These are some of the ways The Katie Kirlin Fund has supported wheelchair sports:

• Provided grants to athletes to purchase wheelchairs specially designed for racing and basketball.
• Sponsored various wheelchair sporting events.
• Provided lodging and travel expenses for Katie’s Komets wheelchair sports teams, organized at the Carousel House, in Philadelphia, PA.
• Provided grants to support wheelchair sports programs at various rehabilitation hospitals and camps.
• Provided lodging and travel expenses to enable athletes to attend national and international wheelchair finals.
• Contributed to Awards and Trophies for wheelchair sports events.
