The Roosters’ Foundation has been selected as one of the “Official Hoag OC Marathon Charities” that will receive funds from this event from runners that want to support our efforts in supporting small nonprofits that have challenges getting attention from major funders.
The Roosters Foundation of Orange County (www.roostersfoundation.org) is a small, unique, 45-year-old, 501-C-3 that raises funds to provide grants and feeding programs to a select group of small, nonprofits that support needy and at-risk children here in Orange County.
We carefully select and vet these nonprofits to verify how they provide support to this underserved community. Each nonprofit has a Rooster Advocate that works closely with them to ensure our grants are used effectively.
In 2024, we provided $100,000.00 in grants to the following charities in Orange County:
• Advance to College • Hope Harbor • Family Promise • Fish For Life • Devil Pups
• The Friendly Center • Fristers • H.O.P.E. • Summer Harvest • Stand up For Kids/OC
