LOOP for Literacy

Every child and adult deserves literacy in their life. I was fortunate enough to grow up in a home where literacy was promoted and encouraged. From a very young age I found great joy diving into long chapter books, becoming immersed in the stories and places that the books would take me. That is a joy that I wish for more people to have. "In Palm Beach County, 22.2% of adults lack basic literacy skills and are unable to read and understand the information found in books, newspapers and manuals. Nearly half of all third graders in our county are not reading on grade level." (https://www.literacypbc.org/who-we-are/) The Literacy Coalition of Palm Beach County provides tools and training for those in need. I could not be happier to walk for and with this organization in promoting literacy and raising money to go to this amazing cause!
