Volunteers are needed to distribute door hangers to all homes and apartments along the 5K route in Lake Worth Beach to notify residents of road closures on February 10. This will require a lot of walking and is ideal for students looking to earn service hours.

PLEASE NOTE: Volunteers under the age of 18 must be accompanied by an adult, that will also need to register as a volunteer.

Day of Event Volunteer High Priority

At least 12 more volunteers needed.

Saturday, February 10th, from 6:00 a.m. - 10:30 a.m.

Volunteers are needed on the day of the race to pass out water at the water stations, hand out finisher medals and bottled water at the finish line, monitor and assist at the children's field day events, cheer on participants, handout refreshments and help tear down and pack-up after the event.

Volunteers that are available and willing to stay throughout the morning will be asked to help at multiple areas as tasks are completed (i.e. help at the water station and once the participants have passed, come back to the park to help with other tasks).

First Aid Tent / EMT High Priority

You must be 18-90 years old to volunteer for this task.

At least 1 more volunteer needed.

Saturday, February 10th, from 6:30 a.m. - 10:30 a.m.

Be available at the first aid tent inside the park for any emergencies or to bandage scraps that might occur to participants during the day of the event. Volunteers with nursing or EMT experience are ideal.

Rest Stop Support for Cyclists at Manatee Lagoon Medium Priority

You must be 21 or older to volunteer for this task.

At least 2 more volunteers needed.

Details

Saturday, February 10th, from 6:30 a.m. - 9:30 a.m.

Volunteers will assist a Literacy Coalition staff member at the Manatee Lagoon rest stop by setting up and tearing down the refreshments table, handing out refreshments and cheering on the cyclists riding up from Bryant Park.
