On April 27, I’ll be running the London Marathon as both a pacer and a dream-chaser. It’s more than a race — it’s part of a personal journey toward earning the Six Star Medal, a symbol of completing all six of the World Marathon Majors. But it’s also a moment to honor a greater mission: supporting families facing a breast cancer diagnosis through The DONNA Foundation.
As part of our "Celebrate Every Mom" campaign, I’ve been reflecting deeply on what it means to show up as a mom — especially during hard weeks, like last week, where parenting has felt particularly heavy. The truth is, chasing dreams like this makes me a better mom. It models resilience, joy, and the belief that hard things are worth doing.
I’ll be pacing runners to a 5:45 finish time on the streets of London, helping others meet their goals while I run in honor of those who can’t. The DONNA Foundation’s work ensures that no one has to choose between paying for their treatment and putting food on the table. It’s work I believe in — work I’ve seen change lives.
So this run is for every mom — the ones supporting from the sidelines, the ones holding it all together through chemo, and the ones we've loved and lost.
Let’s celebrate them together. Let’s make a difference.
