Coney Island New Year's Day Polar Bear Plunge

This is our first time doing the New Year's Plunge.  It's something we've wanted to do and we'll be supporting the Ida G. Israel Community Health Center in Coney Island.  Ida Israel was my grandmother.  She lived in Coney Island her whole life and was a community leader and activist.  The center - which provides essential healthcare services to whoever needs it in Coney Island - was named for my grandmother because of her long-time advocacy for healthcare in the neighborhood.
