Jeanne K. Slack was suffering from kidney failure and was later the recipient of her son Alex's kidney in 2014. Unfortunately in 2022, Jeanne passed away from an unrelated health issue. However, over those 8 years we were able to see how incredible the gift of organ donation really is for those struggling with kidney disease and we run annually to honor her and to raise awareness!
