High Gravity Adventures got its start back in 1992 thanks to a vision and a purpose.
Getting people together in the outdoor classroom to create meaningful experiences - that's what Ken Jacquot was after when he first started Blue Ridge Learning Centers.

Facilitating team building events for groups began at the Valle Crucis and Blowing Rock Conference Centers for Ken and his team at Blue Ridge Learning Centers. One of the first aerial structures Challenge Towers built in the High Country, the Discovery High Ropes Course, came to life on top of the mountain at the Blowing Rock Conference Center.

From the start at these local conference centers, Challenge Towers was born as the need for professionally built aerial structures began to rise among camps, schools, and leadership facilities. It is from this need that the vision and purpose of Challenge Towers grew into what it is today.

Challenge Towers finished constructing the Blue Ridge Course and the Foothills Course in March 2015 and the first official day of business for High Gravity Adventures was April 1, 2015.
In July 2016 the Three-Person Giant Swing and the Ninja Ground Course was added.
In July 2017 The High Altitude Zip Line Tour & Free Fall was added.

Since opening, HGA has been featured in the New York Times article, "20 Family-Friendly Travel Ideas to Get You Going" and is an active community member of both Boone and Blowing Rock, North Carolina.
