Description
The seventh annual Corkscrew & Brew 5K, held in conjunction with SAVOR Blowing Rock, combines road racing and wine or beer (or, if you prefer, walking & wine/beer).
Schedule:
Friday - May 3th
4:00 - 7:00PM: Early packet pick up and onsite registration in the Recreation Center.
Saturday - May 4th:
8:00 - 8:50AM Packet pick up and Race Day registration
9:00 AM START 5K Run/Walk
Registration:
Wine & Beer Free 5K: $25 in advance, AND on Race Day
Wine & Beer Lovers 5K: $30 in advance, AND on Race Day
Register by April 10th to ensure that you get a shirt in the size requested. After April 10th shirts/sizes will be available while supplies last.
Awards & Age Groups:
Awards to the 1st Overall Male & Female Finishers, 1st Overall Masters [40+] Male & Female Finishers and the Top 3 Male & Female Finishers in the following Age Groups:
Wine & Beer Free 5K: 14 & under, 15-19, 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60-69, 70+
Wine & Beer Lovers 5K: 21-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60-69, 70+

Not a runner?? Cheer on participants and enjoy Timberlake's outdoor to-go breakfast and Bloody Mary/Mimosa bar from 7:30 - 10:00AM

Proceeds from the 2019 Corkscrew & Brew 5K will benefit a local boy... Aiden Amason.
Aiden was diagnosed on December 23, 2015, at the age of 6, with Desmoplastic Small Round Blue Cell Tumors-stage 4. Aiden, who attends Hardin Park School in Boone, NC, is now 9 years old and has completed numerous rounds of chemotherapy and radiation, along with several surgeries and radio-immunotherapy. Aiden has and is being treated at Brenner Children’s Hospital in Winston-Salem, NC and has been treated at Sloan Kettering Memorial Hospital in New York City. His family is so thankful for all of the wonderful doctors and nurses! They are still on their journey, but thankful for everyone that is walking this journey with them. Aiden is currently receiving additional chemo for the next 9 months.
